Income from renting and leasing
One of seven types of income regulated in the Income Tax Act (§ 21 EStG). This income includes all income taxable surpluses or losses from renting or leasing an undeveloped or developed property. For example, costs for modernization, repairs, insurance, real estate tax and expenses for water and chimney sweeping are to be deducted as income-related expenses. In addition, loan interest and depreciation (AfA) can be claimed for tax purposes.
