Land register
A register kept by the local court that shows the legal relationships of a plot of land. It provides information on the size and type of use as well as ownership. It also contains a list of rights to other properties as well as encumbrances and restrictions. Anyone with a legitimate interest (e.g. a buyer) can inspect the land register. It enjoys public trust, i.e. the accuracy of the information can be relied upon.
