Purchase contract
The purchase of a property must be made by a notarized contract, otherwise the transaction is not legally valid. This also clarifies the conditions for the transfer of ownership. The seller agrees to transfer the property and the buyer agrees to pay the agreed purchase price.
The three steps to purchase a property are:
– Notarial conclusion of the purchase contract
– Notarial declaration of agreement between the seller and the buyer on the transfer of ownership
– Registration of the transfer of ownership in the land register.
The buyer does not actually become the owner of the property until it is entered in the land register.
