Housing subsidies
Landlords benefit from tax breaks (depreciation and deductions for expenses). In addition, low-interest loans (Aufwendungsdarlehen), ongoing grants (Aufwendungszuschüsse) and guarantees are usually available from the federal states for housing construction. KfW loans are also subsidized by the state, making them somewhat cheaper. However, most subsidies are tied to certain income limits, family sizes and construction requirements.
